Riding Aside

While Consolation rested on Day 4 of the Owyhee Canyonlands Pioneer, Ironman and I compiled this directory of Things to Do When You're Not Riding:

1. The dishes.

2. Climb a big hill...

3. ...and do Zorro impressions.

4. Or, visit a ghost town...

5. ...with a white church...
(a very photogenic white church)

6. ...and an old outhouse. Sorry -- tours by appointment only.

7. Start your Christmas shopping.

8. Or play in an old loading chute.

9. Back at camp, pour a bit of whiskey. Play cribbage. And ponder the familiar question: Should we ride the 50 tomorrow? It's our last chance! Shall we try it? Ponder...

10. ...and, finally, reach a decision.

Sounds like so much fun! If you lived closer, I'd tag along as your right hand girl....how was the ghost town? I love visiting those kinds of places.

Fun post and great photos...that church was very photogenic! So, when do we get the rest of the story?

I have never seen a sign like that last photo. That is something else! I agree with Jackie - just hang that carrot out there! :)

I've been reading through your blog. You have a knack for telling the story. I had stumbled across your blog when you had the accident with the dog & must have missed it on my bookmarks & enjoyed catching up.

I've enjoyed the last few entries of your recent rides. What an accomplishment. Congrats!

Very kind & touching post about your friend's mare.

Anxious to read the rest of the story. Won't forget the bookmark now.

Do you now have your own personal Idaho hovercraft or not?? C'mon Tam! Fess!
